Satine (Blood Wood): 7 Pipe Stand

Sometimes I don’t get it. When I saw this piece I passed on it only to select it the next time I went to select some new wood. Boy was I wrong. This is a knockout. Brilliant, striking deep red chotoyancy. Very rich look. The polishing makes the grain sparkle like a hologram. The Gabon Ebony inside of the Zebra trim works perfectly. I matched the base to carry the look down. It was a lucky break to have a bi-colored piece of Zebra Wood for the riser to match the bi-colored Satine. They look great together.
